Force & Touch

Transformation of any surface into an interactive interface by detecting both touch and force, revolutionising interaction with everyday objects.

Concept

By leveraging advanced nanotechnology, Nanomade sensors can detect both touch inputs and force variations, providing users with a dynamic and responsive interaction experience.

This technology extends beyond conventional boundaries, enabling traditional materials like wood and metal to go beyond their static nature and become interactive mediums. With applications spanning across diverse sectors, including electronics, home appliances, and industrial equipment, Nanomade aims to create a shift in human-machine interaction, ushering in a new era of intuitive and immersive experiences.

CapaForce®: Revolutionising Interaction

Our Force & Touch application, also known as CapaForce®, is revolutionizing how people interact with technology. By combining capacitive and force-sensing capabilities, CapaForce® offers a seamless and intuitive interaction experience, expanding beyond traditional touch interfaces.

Unlike conventional touch technology that only detects contact, CapaForce® senses the intensity of pressure, allowing for nuanced interactions that feel natural and responsive. This dual-sensing capability has wide-ranging potential across industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial controls.

Versatile Applications

One of the standout features of CapaForce® is its versatility. Adaptable to various surfaces —from metal and glass to flexible materials— it is perfect for integration into diverse devices and environments.

In automotive applications, CapaForce® enables touch-sensitive control panels that drivers can operate with a simple press or swipe, even when wearing gloves. For consumer electronics, it introduces pressure-sensitive inputs, triggering different functions based on the applied force.

Additionally, the unique combination of Force & Touch sensing minimizes false touches or accidental activations. Systems can require a specific force to register inputs as intentional actions, enhancing reliability and usability in environments where unintentional touches are common or hazardous. This precision makes CapaForce® ideal for applications ranging from machinery controls to gesture-based interactions.

Energy Efficiency and Durability

CapaForce® is designed for energy efficiency, a priority for modern applications. By combining a high signal-to-noise ratio with low power consumption, the technology ensures long-lasting performance without compromising accuracy. This makes CapaForce® an excellent choice for portable and wearable devices where energy conservation is critical.

The sensors are rigorously tested for durability, enduring up to ten million cycles with less than 5% variability. Resilient to environmental factors like temperature fluctuations and humidity, CapaForce® performs consistently even in demanding environments, such as industrial settings or outdoor applications.

Endless Possibilities for Innovation

With CapaForce®, the possibilities for innovative, user-centred design are virtually limitless. Its dual-sensing capabilities empower manufacturers to create intuitive, responsive, and accessible technology, redefining how users interact with their devices.

Nanomade’s sensors replace physical buttons and switches with touch-sensitive surfaces, integrating seamlessly into appliances, devices, and industrial equipment. Whether it’s controlling machinery, lighting, or manufacturing tools through swipes and taps, CapaForce® opens up new ways for users to engage with technology—making interaction smarter, simpler, and more immersive.
